Upside Down Kings
The Kingdom of God runs on values that look upside-down to the world: the least are greatest, surrender is strength, and the skilled and faithful are quietly raised to stand before kings. Upside-Down Kings explores what that looks like for people whose work is in business and the marketplace. Host Joshua Wilson shares Kingdom principles about faith, work, and calling — and invites others to share what God is showing them too.

The 7 Questions That Reveal Your Calling (Answer Them In Order)
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Most capable people don't lack drive. They lack clarity — they
can't name the work that's actually theirs, who it's for, and
whether it's worth their life.
In this short teaching, Joshua walks through the seven questions
he uses with clients to get there. The catch: you answer them in
order. The world says start with "why." This goes the other way —
because you can't honestly answer why until you know whose you are.
Identity first. Meaning last.
The seven questions are written out here — walk them yourself, or
book time to walk through them together:

My name is Joshua and I have a new life in Christ. See if one of these questions fit you. You're restless. This isn't it, even though there's nothing obviously wrong. Maybe you're successful by every measure and quietly burned out and unsatisfied. Maybe you're between chapters, you just had a liquidity event, sold a company or something big, and you're wondering what's next with your life. Maybe you're really good at what you do, but you're no longer filled with joy from doing it. Maybe you're busy all the time and not sure any of it's actually what you wanna do. Maybe you've arrived and it's emptier than you thought it would be.
Now, here's what I learned:most capable people don't lack drive, they lack clarity. They can't name their work that's actually theirs, who it's for, and whether it's worth their life energy or not. So I created a few questions. Maybe these will help you. it helps me and my clients create clarity in what they're focusing on, and, I just thought it might be helpful to share it with you. Here they are. In order, you must answer these.
Number one:Who is God? That's the ground you build on.
Number two:Who am I? Not what you can sell, but how you're made. What gives you joy? What gives you strength? What's your unique value proposition?
Number three:Who do I serve? Your purpose lies within your people.
Number four:What do I do for them? This is where the work itself starts flowing out through how you're wired. A lot of people start with, "What do I do for a living?" But you gotta answer these in order.
Number five:How do I do it? Now, this is the way the work gets done, the systems, the processes, your unique spin on it.
Number six:What's the yield? What it returns. So yield is what it returns, but it's also what does it cost you to get it?
Seven:End with why. Why do I do it? That's the resolution. That's where the work stops being a performance and becomes a part of your worship. Now, walk those in order and see what they land on for you. most frameworks start at the overlap. They tell you to go monetize it. This one doesn't, because I believe that an optimized business is a part of your, your calling. It's a part of your hedgehog at Good to Great. But I encourage you to walk through these, and I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Now, they're written out in the link below. You could go walk through them yourself, but if you'd rather walk through it with someone else, happy to do so. There's a link where you can book some time and, join me in one of these coaching calls. But anyways, I think that these questions are helpful, and I wanted to give them to you. Onwards, guys.
