"I am; the other stuff will become." That's the line Joshua keeps returning to in this one — a way of holding onto who God says you are while everything else is still being worked out.

In this solo episode, Joshua Wilson shares from 1 John 3:1-3 and a day-three reading in his program: a long list of who God says we already are — loved, chosen, forgiven, free, a new creation, His child, an heir. The question underneath it is simple and hard. Are we listening to God's voice about our identity, or are we building one from what the world says, or from our past? Whose Voice Are You Listening To?

in spirit with him, one in fellowship with him, one who bears spiritual fruit, a sharer of his nature, someone with direct access, able to know God, able to do God's will, set apart for his good work. Now, are we listening to God's voice here?

A Word for the Called

Or are we trying to create our own identity based on what the world says? Or maybe even the past. One day I'll get into you know a little bit about my story, but for here, I want to encourage some of you out there who you feel called to something, a calling, a purpose, a pull towards a certain people group or towards a certain purpose, an outcome.
